Series: The
Protectors #3
Genre:
Contemporary Romance
Price: $2.99
Synopsis:
Protecting the Girl Next
Door was originally published as Forever Bound. It has since been expanded,
revised, and re-edited.
I like women, and I like
adventure. I always have. The last thing I want to do is settle down with the
girl next door and live a boring, domestic life. So I have no idea what I'm
doing here, posing as a first-grade teacher.
It's the most ridiculous
undercover security job I've ever had to work. Corralling a bunch of
six-year-olds while I try to do my job and keep anyone from knowing how
clueless I really am. I manage to fool everyone. Except Kristin.
She's an actual teacher, and
she's determined to find out what I'm really doing here. She doesn't trust me,
and her daughter doesn't like me. And the worst part is that I'm starting to
like them. A lot.
So now, instead of being the
tough guy, I'm stuck with rowdy children and Christmas pageants and falling in
love. It's not the way I thought I'd spend Christmas.

MY REVIEW:
I would go back to school and start all over if I could have a teacher like Declan! He is the last one of the four protectors that you would expect to be put in this assignment, but it is a hit! Declan goes through women and likes them on the fast side because when he was attracted to the girl next door type, it didn't end well. Declan goes into the assignment thinking it will be easy and all playtime, but that was before he met Kristan, one of his student's moms and also a fellow teacher, who gets in his face. Kristan is definitely the girl next door type, but is also a widow of a Navy SEAL and the mother to a little girl, Lucy. Declan and Kristan heat up these pages! The back and forth, will they or won't they is so well done and when done in the setting of a grade school, adds a whole other dimension! Loved reading about the other protectors and getting a glimpse in their lives and loves.

Protecting the Movie Star
Author: Noelle
Adams and Samantha Chase
Release Date:
August 30, 2017
Series: The
Protectors #4
Genre:
Contemporary Romance
Price: $2.99
Synopsis:
Protecting the Movie Star
was originally published as Home Bound. It has since been expanded, revised,
and re-edited.
The story of my life isn't
pretty. I come from the wrong side of the tracks. I've been a criminal. I've
been homeless. I almost killed my father, and I might be responsible for the
death of my best friend.
I should not be wanting
Evangeline.
Her life story is the stuff
of dreams. She's America's sweetheart - beautiful, talented, and famous - and
she doesn't want anything to do with me. I'll protect her from a stalker since
it's my job, but that's all I'm allowed. No touching, no lusting, no falling in
love. I'm all wrong for her, and she's completely off-limits.
But I've never been good
about following the rules.
MY REVIEW:
I have been waiting for Cole's story and wondering how he would be able to get out of his own head and allow love in. This final story in the quartet is like the cherry on top. Cole has been dealt a tough hand from childhood and as he grew it got worse. When he turned to the Marines, he found the brothers he never had, but when they lose one of their own, he believes he is to blame and then when each of his 'brothers' fall to love, he finds himself getting angrier. He hates all things that Hollywood and the rich stand for, so when his assignment is to step in and find the stalker of a friend of Sebastian's, who also is a movie star, he is beyond furious and his anger is directed at Evangeline. Evangeline is terrified of the stalker, who seems to be getting closer and closer to her, but she isn't sure that Cole is the man for the job of protecting her. If you think that the sparks were hot in the other protector books, throw that out the window, because this is the best one! Love how Cole and Evangeline butt heads and even though at times she can't stand him, she knows Cole is the best man for the job and maybe, just maybe, the best man for her. Loved this series and they saved the best for last!

Series: The
Protectors #1
Genre:
Contemporary Romance
Price: FREE
Synopsis:
Protecting His Best Friend's Sister was originally
published as Duty Bound. It has since been expanded, revised, and re-edited.
The only woman I want is the
one I can never have.
Harper. My best friend's
sister. I've wanted her since I was eighteen, but she's always been off-limits.
Now I'm home after years in the Marines, and nothing has changed--except
everything has. Her brother is dead, and she's on a hopeless quest for answers
about his death.
And I want her just as much
as ever.
Someone is trying to kill
her now, and she won't let me keep her safe. I have to protect her anyway, even
if she doesn't trust me, even if she hates me for it. A man protects what's
precious to him, whether or not he can ever claim her for his own.
And Harper has always been
precious to me.
MY REVIEW:
OK, I love strong women heroines, but seriously at times I wanted to slap Harper upside the head when she was so insensitive and harsh to Levi. I understand she was grieving, but so was he and he was hurt. I am glad I gave her a chance because she sure did come around and make me love her!!!! Levi and Harper bring out the best in each other and at times they bring out the not so best, lol. They have chemistry that jumps from the pages and this helps draw you into the story. I loved meeting the other Marines in this foursome and look forward to their stories. The emotional part of this story was handled well and not just glossed over for the sake of getting it into the story. I loved the suspenseful aspect and coupled with the romance it made the story memorable.
Title:
Protecting the Enemy
Author:
Noelle Adams and Samantha Chase
Release Date:
August 9, 2017
Series: The
Protectors #2
Genre:
Contemporary Romance
Price: $2.99
Synopsis:
Protecting the Enemy was originally published as
Honor Bound. It has since been expanded, revised, and re-edited.
Twelve years ago, I gave up
the love of my life because my family made the relationship impossible. Now
that Ali has come back to me, I'm not going to give her up again.
It's been years since I've
seen her, and I know she's hated me all this time. I never expected to see her
working as an event planner for one of my father's business partners. But here
she is, always snooping around and getting into trouble. I'm supposed to be
providing security, but I can't stop thinking about her.
She's up to something, and
it might put her in danger. She sees me as the enemy now. Maybe I am, but I'm
not going to lose her again. I might be hired to protect the man she's working
against, but my heart only wants to protect her.
MY REVIEW:
This is the second in the series and it is keeping the five stars going! I thought I wouldn't like Sebastian because I expected him to be a rich, uptight, pretty boy who just wanted to flip off his rich family, but WOW I was wrong! There is so much more to him than you can imagine and every turn of the pages gives you another layer of him to love. He has always compared his women to the 'one that got away' but the only reason she wasn't in his life anymore was because of his family's interference. When his father throws The Protectors a cushy assignment, the last thing Sebastian thinks he will find is Ali, the one love of his life. Only thing is, Ali is not feeling the love because she feels that she misjudged Seb all those years ago and that he was just like his father. Ali is on a mission and is using her job to complete it, at all costs, but when she keeps getting caught by Sebastian, they need to fight their sparks, but also the suspicions they both have about the other. I loved reading how they worked through their past and got to the point they could see if a future was in the plans. This is such a terrific series!
